People should be addressed by their appropriate Gender if known, rather than by physical sexual characteristics.

1st offense, education in the differences between sex and gender, and have to read Anne Lawrence's website.

2nd offense, made to dress as the opposite gender, and see how it feels to be "mistaken" as someone you are not.

This law is wide open to abuse, Diz. I mean, what if I, physically a man, were to have a particularly feminine day - but somebody still called me "Mister!"??? Gender is subject to fluctuations on an almost minute-by-minute basis. You never can tell at any given time, and I'm sure a court of law would be unconvinced.

Only pass this law if we can all have badges indicating our gender at the time.

Then you also should make it compulsory for people to dress according to their gender. And in a lot of cases YOU JUST CAN'T TELL. Too many people dress half as a male and half as a woman. Doesn't make it any easier for us.

Who said it was supposed to be easy! :p :wink

And obviously, if you do not "know" the gender of the person, you have to go by best guess. That is why I said, if known.
This is for those who have made their gender known to others, but are still addressed inappropriately, due to ignorance, bias, or just plain spite.

Too many narrowminded rednecks out there, who do not understand the world is not just black and white.:mad  :mad
