i was wondering whether anyone in here was ever thinking about car brands and other superficial stuff... i am the volvo-kind... - but due to my ecological sense and my short finances i am stuck to bikes, trams and busses... :D

My first car was an '85 Volvo 340 1.4, and my vote is for "Other". Nuff said.

I loved my Pontaic Firebird and I love my Grand Prix. They have given me very little trouble. My 75 Firebird is awaiting restoration if I ever get the money. *email where to send donations to me*:lolI also like a Chevy.

Due to financial problems I'm restricted to using either bike (Am I Dutch or what? :wink), public transportation or my parents' car.
A car I really want to own is the old Mini (not the new version). My favourite car is any English oldtimer. My favourite car brand in general is Renault. The car I enjoyed driving most was probably the Renault Megane. The car I enjoyed driving least was a Volkswagen Golf with horrible gearstick problems (if gearstick is the way you call that thing in English).

I own Citroen BX 1.4, but I'll sell it soon because it's too expensive to own (and use :) )a car in Finland

REALLY???
I love Minis!! They're my favourites. I gotta wait another 3 1/2 years anyway to do my driver's license and then my dad won't ever stop to tell me they always break down.

At the moment I can only use my bicycle (*argh* Ever went 5km by bike while it was raining and the road was icey? NEVER AGAIN!) or public transport. Which is a little difficult by the fact the from village to the next "city" (with McD and stuff) the bus takes 1 hr and a half  and on weekends doesn't drive at all. So I mostly ask my dad...

Yupp. From home to high school was about 7, 8 kms. So around 15kms a day, by bike, in every kind of weather possible or imaginable. So around 75 kms a week, just for going to and from school. This does not include sports, going out, family visits, etc.

Cars are for LOSERS. Give me a motorbike or a Harley Trike anyday. They are cooler than cool.

i drive a '73 mini. i love my mini. great cars. at least if they break down, you can get under the hood and fix 'em. not like these new-fangled cars where you gotta take 'em to the mechanic just to top up the oil or something!!

Well, my first car was Fiat Uno and my other car Datsun 120 Y. Both falled to pieces and after that I started to use public transportation. There was some economic reasons too (Gas is too expensive, insurance is too expensive, cars are too expensive, collisions are too expensive....).

I voted other. I think Wartburg is very nice looking car. Very simple DDR-design :D
