Probably because it was not as amusing, and was not so obviously done as something meant as a joke and to entertain.

Since you so obviously made it as an insult against people who have at least a passing fondness for their country, what do you expect?

That is the reason I have not made an "obnoxious Finn" poll, since that would too easily be construed as a more pointed insult to our fine Finnish posters, not all of whom would deserve the jibe.

I agree with nacho and K-lib. If you can have a Euro-weenie of the year contest, I think you should also be able to have a Chauvinist of the Year contest. It works both ways here. Either you have both or you have neither. And shouldn't a true chauvinist be proud to be mentioned in a Chauvinist of the Year contest?
