I am unable to access the IP of members in the "General Discussion" area, where I am a Mod. It seems that the only place I CAN do this is in "Everything Else"

I closed the Maderic "Farewell" thread and people are still able to post to it. Is something broken or is it just ME again?

I just locked it, but not before getting a message about my session being startled, or something... :lol

I just tried to delete a thread in EE (ignore this thread) that K-lib evidently started in error and it told me I did not have access to that function. Whaaaaaaaat
I'm soooooo confused. I am even a Mod in that section.

Let it be there. K-libs threads doesn't always make sense to anybody but himself:), but I don't think he made it by mistake. I am sure he have some kind of plans with it.

Hey, you can buy your own damn Original Thought™ :lol
I just moved K-Lib's Ignore thread to the playground - that seems to be where it belongs (or it does after my last post to it! :lol).
You'll have to take up the issue of your mod powers with Lynda, but don't worry about it too much - it was a long time after I was appointed mod before I had any real "powers" - not that I let the membership know that! :lol :wink

Mod powers have a default on what you can do and gives no options to let mods delete threads. Only adminstrators and super mods can do that. You should be able to move threads and lock threads though. So if you see something that needs deleting then tell me or Dippy. Mods also cannot delete their own threads. The reason for that is if a mod gets mad and insults everybody.....he/she can not later say ooops and delete it. So make sure when you post that's what you want to post.
