Hi, I'm Serendipity, a name I regret cuz nobody can spell it... call me Dippy, otherwise I'm Phil, 35, from Cumbria in the north of England, and I'm the brains of the outfit, even though Idnew'll tell you I'm mean and egotistical. (tho' I did give that "***** slap" link to the girls here, which ought to stand me in good stead with any righteous woman). Hi there. http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hi. I, too, am fairly new to this board. My name is Angela, I'm married with 2 children (boy-6 & girl-3), and I enjoy way too many different things to have ever developed any specific hobbies, though I do tend towards artistic endeavors whenever possible.

TigerLady --

Hey and welcome to the board! I'm Andy, and along with Jeff (the other admin, who hasn't been showing up much lately) I run this board as well as dumblaws.com and all those other sites associated with it (dumbcriminalacts.com, realhaunts.com, dumbbumpers.com, etc). I'm not in as much as some of the others -- idnew, paulgro, dippy, and others hold down the place for me when I'm not around (and I'll love you forever for it -- thanks!).

But I'm not who you'd think I am -- I'm just a 16 year old guy living in the south (Georgia). We started this site a little over 2 years ago (back when I was a little freshman) and the hobby accidently turned into a part-time job. It's been great, and it's great to see that it has sparked so much interest and discussion.

Who am I? Well, I'm a 29-year old man in Milwaukee, Wisconsin whose interests include reading (especially on politics and current events), debate, beer, (I live by a brewery), the Green Bay Packers, and good ethnic restaurants (of which Milwaukee has several.)

And Paulgro, since you seem to enjoy pizza, a couple of reccomendations if you're ever in Milwaukee: Lisa's, Oakland Avenue; Zaffiro's, Farwell Avenue; and Balistreri's, 68th Street at Wells. http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/smile.gif

I am studying law in order to provide this website with new dumb laws (hey, I am doing a practical training later this year in the German Parliament, let's see what I can do for you http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/wink.gif). My interests in law are mainly Private International and Comparative Law. I spend the rest of my time watching soccer, icehockey, Formula One races, but I also deal a lot with travelling, music, reading.. when I have more free time, I'll continue writing a book.

My favorite meal to cook is, well, hmm. I don't know what my favorite meal to cook is. Just give me the directions, the ingredients, a stove & oven, and I can cook just about anything.
Paul, you're right. I did forget that one. Sorry.

Well BallGrrl, your popularity (not that it was waning in any way) round here has just shot up by about 700%. http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/smile.gif You'll find everything in the cupboards and fridge for a really good Culleen Skink. This is one dish that I am a master at making, and I'd love it if somebody else made it for a change. http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/smile.gif

No skinks are involved in Culleen Skink. If Scotslaw were around instead of studying for his finals then he might be able to tell you.
C.S. is a kind of soup from Scotland. I
worked out this recipe after tasting it once in a restaurant just over the sea from Skye.

Culleen Skink a la Dipster

Ingredients:
1 large smoked haddock fillet (More if you like it. I have used smoked mackerel and while it's not the same, it works)
Two medium potatoes
Two medium onions
2 generous sprigs of Tarragon
Some water
Some single cream
Pinch of salt
Some olive oil
Fish stock cube (but don't tell anyone... http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Prep:
Chop onion finely and fry, in a medium saucepan, in the oil, over a low heat until clear. Add chopped Tarragon. Chop potatoes into bitesize chunks and add them to it all. Chop fish into bitesize chunks (use scissors) and hurl them into the blazing cauldron, sorry, pan. When the potatoes have browned slightly, add cold water to cover-and-a-quarter, if you see what I mean. Add fish stock. Then bring to the boil and lower the heat, simmer for until the potatoes are nearly done. Add cream and simmer for another 5 minutes or so. Serve immediately.

Ozzy Osbourne;
Former lead singer of Black Sabbath, burnt out and drugged out by the late 70's, left the group.
In 1980, released his first solo album, Blizzard of Oz, which became an instant classic with heavy metal fans everywhere. Retired, briefly, in the early 90's, but came back, in 96, clean and sober, with the now summer classic, Ozzfest, concert/music festival.

any more questions???

Thank you! Just like to be informed.

I was listening to this comedy programme last night, and they were pretending to interview Tony Blair, and they had some of his soundbites recorded to use as answers, and one of these was "Black Sabbath" in a really scary deep voice, and it made me laugh far too much cos they kept using it, so Blair was constantly going "Black Sabbath" whatever they asked him. You probably had to be there....I'll get my coat.
