I'm waiting for an explantation how someone took over our planes. I know I wouldn't commit suicide for anybody and it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't Americans that did it.JMO with all the stuff going on over here anymore.

Id, from what I understand, they were able to get knives aboard on at least two of the planes, which is how they were able to hijack them. I don't know for sure, like I said, that's just what I understand to be true.

The terrorists that are willing to commit suicide are a new dimension in criminology. It is unbelievable how someone wants to lose his life out of a religious delusion (and this indicates the Islamic background as nobody else is that obedient to their religious leaders to do anything like that). However, hi-jacking a plane is happening several times a year. I still wonder why this can't be prevented, e.g. by closing the pilots in a secure cabin that can't be opened during the flight.

The latest thing i have heard is that the terrorists used razor-knifes to kill the stewardesses. By this they forced the pilots to come out of the ****pits, and could then take control of the planes.
My thoughts goes to the victims and their families.
This is not only a sad day for America but for all democracies in the world.

I think they worked for American and United airlines and already had the weapons on board, they could have easily been working for them, placed the guns in the bags and boarded on the planes. This was a very well planned attack, infact so precise the way they hit the buildings they think Bin Laden hired the pilots themselves, or the pilots were in on it somehow. I also heard they were using knives but almost find it too hokey to be true, I know knives can kill but it seems if people were fearing there LIVES they would stand in the way of a knife especially if there are so many people on board. I think the ammo was placed in the bags, maybe one of the bag checkers were involved terrorists and let the bags through or the guns were placed in the bags while being put on the planes by those guys that put the bags on the planes. Just a few thoughts to ponder, I find the whole situation strange tho, I could imagine people hired by the terrorists to GET guns into the plane, but who knows...
It's just a scary thought... http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/frown.gif

Now mat be hardly the time to poke fingers, but I think that an explination for the takeover of those planes may be very simple: our airport security is a joke. This past Saturday, I picked up my uncle and his wife from the Milwaukee airport, and I could see how such objects as knives could sneak past them. (Bear in mind that the hijackers apparently used knives and box cutters to turn airliners into weapons of mass destruction.)
Again, I offer my prayers to the emergency workers in New York, the victims, and the families awaiting word.
God Bless America...

Yes it was to darn easy it appears and now after the fact they change the rules. Well at one airport the person letting passengers aboard question the box knife and was told by someone else to let it go. BS what the heck does anybody need a box cutter on a plane for? Glad they found some survevors and I say go after the ones responsible with full force. A big heartfelt to the passengers of the 4th plane that apparently overtook the scum before it could hit the White House.

I'm about 1 1/2 to 2 hours northwest on NYC. Thanks for asking...
Nothing has happened in a while so security was almost non existent. Everybody going through the motions. Sad to say, this was our wakeup call....

It is very difficult to detect a knife. The only time I have flown in my life (Düsseldorf-Newark-Seattle) there was a plane starting to Tel-Aviv from Düsseldorf next to mine. Plenty of special police groups went along with MPs to guarantee security. I felt very uncomfortable to pass them all, I just hope that it isn't the security standard we need everywhere.

I just hope that the security people (CIA & FBI) regard finding out what really happened as more important than hanging on to their jobs.

I do to Dippy. For sure it was a very good wake up call and last counts I had there are over 4,000 missing from the WTC. http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/frown.gif
What really upsets me. When I was watching the list of passengers names on the last plane, there was a husband, wife and their two year old daughter and a mother and her 4 yr old daughter on that plane. If I posted this elsewhere sorry. But that is some real low life.

Low life isnt even the word Id *hugs*
Those are only a couple familys that were killed, it broke my husband and my hearts when we watched a mother carrying her baby covering it's mouth and nose from the soot and smoke. I heard their was also a day care in the building too for the working moms....

Today I saw a report about a company boss who had his firm in one of the highest storeys in the WTC. On Tuesday he had to bring his child to his first day at school and so he was late - and lives because of that. All his 700 employees are probably dead now. Sad and horrible.
I also read in the newspaper today that the hi-jackers chose old planes (about 20 years old) because newer ones can't be brought off course that easily by hand.

This attack must have been planned for months. Help me, guys, in creating a list of charges.
