Please, I know many of you are outraged about this stuff in New York and Washington, but please, PLEASE don't take this out on Arab/Muslim people who live here. Just felt like saying that. This kind of stuff has happened before.....back during world war 2 when pearl harbor was bombed and everything, a lot of Japanese-Americans were discriminated against and eventually put in internment camps throughout the war. Hopefully, a war won't break out, but if it does, just remember that......not all Muslims/Arabs are terrorists. These are extremist fundamentalist groups like the Taliban or whatever, who are responsible for those kinds of terrorist acts.

I'm sure our government will get the right ones, before they just start bombing somebody, but somebody is going to pay for this cowarldly act.

The Arab, Muslim Americans should not be treated badly because of how their country is reacting to this tragedy and what has happened. Because they are American.

There's already been an attack on an Arab American in Tulsa. The man's jaw was broken in three places and he's pretty well cut and bruised. Some idiots must have thought he was a bad guy because of his turbin.
"Oh my god! He's got a turbin, kill him!!! Don't look him in the eye, he'll turn into a terrorist!!" -- That's about what I can figure as to the thought process of these morons.

It's pretty horrible, I agree, what is happening to Arab-Americans. Everything from insults to Molotov c*cktails have been thrown at them. One of my new friends at high school looks Arab, but I don't think she is being harassed, because she's female . . .Women are more suppressed than anything else in Afghanistan.

Well spoken Oscar,
and by the way the exact same thing goes for us europeans.
The last couple of days i have read some pretty anti-arabic pieces in some newspaper, and today I heard that a danish political rightwing party, who say that the muslims must be send back to their countries, had gained 2 % support.
It is important to see the difference between the regular muslim (99,999 %) and the muslim terrorist (0,001 %).
A lot of the victims from wtc are probably muslims too.

Already in Chicago and Milwaukee attacks and threats have been made against Arab Americans. In a Chicago suburb a couple of hundred morons gathered outside of a mosque and shouted insults at the people inside. A Milwaukee man is now looking at serious jail time for phoning bomb threats to a mosque. Another Chicago man is facing jail for threatening to blow up an Arab American owned store on that city's Southwest Side.
Of the group I just spoke about, how many of them remember that after the attack on Oklahoma City people were quick to blame Arabs? As we all know, the perpetrator in that attack was an unemployed white loser from Buffalo...

Just wanted to let you in on a little insight. The terrorists that were trained to be pilots and lived in San Diego, CA and were USA citizens!! So even though I don't agree we should terrorize the ones that are over here because I'm sure some of them are innocent, some of the ones that are over here might still be planning attacks!

This is a story I put on my board:
Desert Nomads Hold Silence for U.S. Victims
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Updated: Mon, Sep 17 7:47 AM EDT
NIAMEY (Reuters) - Some 15,000 nomads living on the fringes of the Sahara desert, most of them Muslims, have observed a minute's
silence for the victims of terror attacks on the United States, officials in Niger said on Sunday.
The nomads were gathered 370 miles northeast of the West African country's capital Niamey for the annual Cure Salee, when herders bring
tens of thousands of camels, cattle and sheep to the Ingal area, which is rich in mineral salts.
Animal Resources Minister Koroney Maoude announced that the minute's silence was observed on Saturday, after an appeal from the
government, which described Tuesday's attacks as "shameful acts unworthy of modern civilization."
West Africa's Muslim countries have been unanimous in condemning the attacks, which killed up to 5,000 people and for which the chief
suspect is Muslim zealot Osama bin Laden.

The attacks are undisputably against Shuria Law, which says that under no circumstances should civilians be targetted.

Only Sikhs wear turbans, not Moslems. There's got to be a bit of education in the US in this regard. Bush did the right thing yesterday when he visited a mosque. Anti-Islamic prejudice is just as bad as anti-American prejudice IMO.

Imagine what a mistake it would have been to attack Germans, Italians, or Japanese in this country during WWII. The terrorists hate us simply because we are Americans. Don't hate people simply because they are not. If you do, you are no better than the terrorists.

The Japanese were attacked in this country. The government also took their property and put them in concentration camps...They couldn't hide the fact that they were Japanese. At the end of the war nothing was given back to them. Most were American citizens and had no allegence to Japan...
