View Full Version : Why Bush should loose the election

DEAD ZONE

"George Bush has broken a Clinton record, though not one to be proud of. The Federal Register – the publication that lists all proposed and enacted federal regulations – increased to 75,606 pages in 2002. That breaks the previous record set by Bill Clinton in 2000.

You need to know that these federal regulations cost businesses (and, ultimately, the consumers) in America more than all business income taxes combined.

During 2002 Congress passed 269 new laws. During the same year regulatory agencies passed 4,167 final rules. Not one of these rules was then subjected to congressional oversight.

Some more things to think about when considering Bush’s record in the White House.

Federal government spending under Bush has increased at a rate faster than of any year during the Clintonista era.

George Bush has yet to veto one single spending bill.

George Bush has teamed up with congressional Democrats to pass massive spending increases in education, agriculture and other areas.

George Bush has been in office for almost three years, and has yet to recommend the elimination of one single government-spending program.

And you wonder why I vote libertarian? "
Boortz.

He naild it. Bush should loose the next election because he is
fiscally irresponsible and leading us to bankrupt status.

Yeah, well, the record-breaking deficit is kind of a problem, too.

And the economy.

Oh, did I mention the crappy unecessary war he got us into?

He kind of makes a lot of embarassing "mis-statements" ... :confused

I hate to be a bringer of bad news, but Bush is also one of those extremist right-wing guys who wants to pack the judiciary with Christian fundamentalists. That's not good.

He's real secretive. The people around him are real secretive.

He has a lot of "handlers" and "political engineers". So when things really go wrong it's hard to figure out where the real problem originated. It's like a riddle inside a mystery inside an enigma.

He has several individuals who were convicted of crimes working for him. That can't help.

His buddies are all rich. He doesn't really do stuff for regular, salt of the earth people who are the backbone of America. But somehow (this is probably where the money comes into play) his PR machine is able to fool a lot of those people into believing that Bush = standing up for regular people who don't contribute thousands of dollars to the Republican party.

I'd go on but I'm spent...

That's all bullcrap.. You have got to put a little thinking behind what you read.. You want to see people living in a dream world read the libertarian party platform with a google search..

Who do you think set up all these groups that can make law without any oversight... Does Demorats ring a bell???

I'm not saying the Dems are the answer, Wunch. I'm just saying Bush is extraordinarily bad. I'd vote for a Republican for pres if he was intelligent, compassionate, open-minded & wasn't an extremist.

Lets face it. Politians from BOTH parties are in it for themselves these days.
Corporations line their pockets to get favorable laws passed for them. It ain't for the people anymore, its for whoevr can give them the most money.
Politics is a Rich Mans game today. I kinda think if they were to do away with campaign contrabutions altogether where more 'ordinary' people could get into the arena there might be a change for the better.
Sure. We all have our own ideas of what should and shouldn't be but at least we'd be arguing it and hammering it out ourselves instead of having some corporate conglomerates lobbying group pushing us in the direction THEY want.

Absolutely. As I've said before here & elsewhere, I would have voted for McCain had he ran against Gore. I guess that's what set me off against Bush & the current GOP--they have an extremist agenda, and McCain just wasn't extreme enough. They sacrificed what probably would have been a great president, in order to install their little fundamentalist puppet. And look where we are.

Me thinks you may be a little off.
"The Associated Press headline seemed like a candidate for "You Don't Say" treatment: "Campaign Donations Sway Lawmakers' Vote." But wait. Let's take a closer look at what the AP is claiming:
The Associated Press looked at six measures in the House--medical malpractice, class action lawsuits, overhauling bankruptcy laws, the energy bill, gun manufacturer lawsuits and overtime pay--and compared lawmakers' votes with the financial backing they received from interest groups supporting or opposing the legislation. . . .

The AP and the center have established a correlation between campaign donations and votes, but they have not proved, or even provided any evidence for, a cause-and-effect relationship. Indeed, common sense leads us to think the influence of campaign money on lawmakers' votes is minimal. Would even a pol as mercenary as Sen. Hillary Clinton (to take an example at random) change her position on, say, gun rights if the National Rifle Association decided to give her beaucoup bucks? It seems unlikely.

It's much more plausible to think that interest-group money follows the votes--as the groups try to keep lawmakers who agree with them in office--rather than the other way around."

Its the vote that keeps them there. The people vote, not the money, unless the people sale themselves cheap.

You'll be happy to know that I have sent this information, along with many previous posts you have made saying who you are, to the State of Michigan's Attorney General. It is a "Felony" to impersonate Law Enforcement Personel in any state.

If you are, in fact, a Michigan State Police Officer as you say here then I am sure the Office of Internal Affairs would like to have a very frank discussion with you about your professional attitude in public.

Your statement about SOCOM being your half brother would also explain why you both had the same IP address, he was using your computer.
