The German government has decided to eliminate 48 of the 58 laws in the "Working Place Regulation".

The law that included regulations for the position of light switches or the number of toilets in corporation-owned working areas is reformed to help fight the german recession by simplyfication and deletion of superficial laws.

And they created tons of new ones to throw file sharers in jail for 3 years.

I thought Hitler was dead and both the Gestapo and the Stasi were disbanded.

Seph I don't think they removed some laws to make room for new ones.

Though I am no expert on German law I do think they had copyright laws before Kazaa and other file sharing services. A new way of breaking copyrights emerged and like many other countries they are trying to do something about it.

If you had a "killer" idea that could make you millions, would you be happy to see someone just sharing it with the world and thereby eliminating your chances of great fortune? which is the general idea behind file sharing.
I'm no saint myself but if you do something illegal you need to be aware of the fact that at some point someone might try to catch you.
