View Full Version : TV/web Segments on Weird Laws
February 11th, 2002, 01:59 PM
Hey!
My name is Mariana and I'm a story coordinator for (edited by Idnew) a TV company/website that gives the general public the chance to share stories and perspectives with the world. Our aim is to allow you to be the storyteller.
I am looking for interested people to create their own video on existing weird laws in their home towns or states, their origins, have they ever tried using them in a court of law, etc. We take your raw video footage, edit it into 1-4 minute segments, and air in on our website (we can provide the camera, if necessary).
If interested, I would love to talk to you...call me at 212.779.0500. Thanks!

Hey Bonker and MacReady -
The website,(edited by Idnew), aims at giving people the opportunity to tell AND film their own stories. To see what it's about, check out the site and watch some of the video others have filmed. There are channels for various topics.
We only need 1-2 hours at most of footage, which is not much of a time commitment. Then we edit your material to a 1-4 minute segment.
There is no pay but you have the chance to create your own story and air it to people around the globe.
If you or any of your friends are interested in creating your own videos and sharing stories on the weird laws in our country, you can call me at 212.779.0500 (BNN TV/ number) or email me at storycoordinator@bnntv.com.
Peace

Hey Mabby, do us a favour:
Stick around here! Tell your friends about our site and board! I mean, you're trying to get our members to come and do stuff at YOUR site, and you seem to have an interest in dumb laws. We COULD interpret your (first...) post as spam, and we don't appreciate spam too much round here...
Yours, Serendipity, Moderator at DumbLaws.com, also working for free http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/smile.gif

Sorry, no ill will intended. This is truly a very cool, unique site and certainly don't want to offend anyone. Rock on with the site...
No further messages from me...

Welcome Mabby....no offense taken, and if you had of been a regular poster then we accept this sorta stuff from our members to promote their websites. So do stick around to join in the rest of the topics around here and then we won't mind a little spamming as long as it doesn't involve trying to sell something and I will check out the site. Normally this would have been deleted but I'll let it slide this time. Sounds interesting.

Well I did check out the site and while it is different it looks to be for mature people and not proper for all age groups. Mabby we have a lot of young people on here including my young g-daughter that I really don't want her going to your site, therefore the edits. I'll leave your email and phone if anybody wants to contact you but I can't allow the title of the website and can't promite it. I guess I'm one of the more conservitive head mods around and also *cough, cough* the oldest.
