I have a great topic of discussion which has to do with a woman who won a lawsuit against her employer for 1.5 million dollars. But as with any lawsuit in this country, there was a catch:
she paid approxmately $1, 115, 000 for legal fees, which leaves her $375, 000 left.
But due to a law she knew nothing about, she had to pay another 475, 000 dollars to the IRS. This had to do with a little scam called the amt(alternate minimum tax) which is paid to the IRS after a lawsuit. This woman won the lawsuit to find her self in 1000$ in debt. She was sexually harrased and then was in debt for 1000$....that sux
Did any of you know of this amt and what do you think?
