Iraq - Oilfield under mob rule

Iran - See above

Israel - If that's the Holy Land, I'm glad I'm not religious.

George W. Bush - Drunken dumb cowboy with no sense of direction

Dick Cheney - Smart, manipulative, bald; with coronary disease and lots of investments.

Oil - Black, scummy, and in my car.

Renewable Energy Sources - Will kill the above industry, therefore underdeveloped.

Alaskan Oil Reserves - Sitting under pristine wilderness.

Environmental Concerns - My generation's top concern in the next few decades.

Bill Clinton - Economy-good. DOMA-bad. Impeachment-stupid.

Politics - cultural poison

Iraq - quagmire disguised as a Willis/Gibson movie

Iran - that other wacko middle east country

Israel - our 2nd ME lover (Saudis = 1st)

George W. Bush - vacuous, swaggering messiah

Dick Cheney - the bionic neocon

Oil - makes the world go round

Renewable Energy Sources - shouldn't cost as much as they do

Alaskan Oil Reserves - focus on the above and we won't need it

Environmental Concerns - silly & irrelevent since the year 2000

Bill Clinton - satan

Defense of Marriage Act - fear of homos

Social Security - needed

Economy - the rich are ecstatic

Women's Rights - should be a given

Women's Reproductive Rights - should be a given

Homosexuals' Rights - should be a given

Creationism - mythology. There are no facts supporting this

Evolution - the best science has to offer at this point

Religion - on personal scale=good. on large scale=bad.

Christianity - too dominant

Islam - just another religion

Atheism - a bit too contrarian for me

Politics - the art of forging consensus. As in forgery.

Iraq - a nice place in the 12th century.

Iran - see above.

Israel - well it seemed like a nice way to say "sorry" at the time.

George W. Bush - just your ordinary average millionaire son of a President. Not part of any elite. No sir. Definitely not.

Dick Cheney - just your ordinary average millionaire. Also not part of any elite.

Oil - the heroin of the Western economy. Oooh it's so hard to kick that stuff.

Renewable Energy Sources - just don't give you the same buzz, man.

Alaskan Oil Reserves - desperation in action.

Environmental Concerns - is the house really on fire? Nah, they're just Conflagration Concerns. Not to worry.

Bill Clinton - should have been President of France. Screwing Monica would have got him an extra term of office there.

Defense of Marriage Act - ROFL. An utter waste of everything.

Social Security - A bit like Western Civilisation - sounds like a good idea, but hard to come by in practice.

Economy - a collective hallucination. Take away all the money in the world, there's still the same amount of everything else.

Women's Rights - a necessary evil.

Women's Reproductive Rights - everyone should have reproductive rights, doncha think?

Homosexuals' Rights - another necessary evil.

Creationism - some people just can't move into the 20th century. This question was resolved more than 100 years ago.

Evolution - the most powerful scientific idea ever proposed. Much misunderstood, naturally.

Religion - only useful insofar as it supports spiritual change. Unfortunately, mainly used by humans to resist spiritual change. The same applies to drugs, btw.

Christianity - teachings of Christ, very good. Subsequent developments, mostly disastrous. See "religion".

Islam - a great advance at the time. The dominant religion of an empire that ran the bulk of the world for about 1000 years, and responsible for passing the wisdom of the Romans and Greek to the European Renaissance. Sadly fossilized since the 18th century, alas, and now in bad shape.

Atheism - a weak POV, like Scots defining themselves as "not English". Not as powerful as the realisation that whether you talk about God or no-God is just choosing different metaphors. That which is, remains untouched, whichever words you find helpful.

Other - other what? Sounds like a good idea, though. I mean, just generally :).

Politics: A much misused way of making things better.

Iraq: A country that has suffered way too much lately. I work with a nice iraqi guy.

Iran: Another country that has suffered way too much lately.

Israel: A country made for people who have suffered way too much.

George W. Bush: Makes a lot of people suffer way too much.

Dick Cheney: Helps the above guy.

Oil: The sigle most important source of energy of today. Therefore a subject that people fight over.

Renewable Energy Sources: The sigle most important source of energy of tomorrow.

Alaskan Oil Reserves: Stay away from them. The country might be yours, but the earth isn't.

Environmental Concerns: All too relevant.

Bill Clinton: Overrated in Europe, but definately better than the guy before, and the guy after him.

Defense of Marriage Act: I'm not sure what it is.

Social Security: Glad we have it.

Economy: Glad it is good, over here.

Women's Rights: The fact that there is such a discussion, is an indication it is needed.

Women's Reproductive Rights: Won't somebody please think of the children.

Homosexuals' Rights: The fact that there is such a discussion, is an indication it is needed.

Creationism: A bit conservative, I think.

Evolution: Up till now, the best theory to explain our existence. Not perfect, though.

Religion: A much misused way of making things better.

Christianity: The foundation of the western world

Islam: The foundation of the middle eastern world.

Atheism: For people who just turn down 1000 of years of tradition, believe and studying. Not for me!
