View Full Version : No fans for NJ schools

Well It is now state policy that you may not have a stand alone fan or ceiling fan (without ugly metal protective grating) in a public school. This is now considered a safety hazard. Since most schools including mine do not have air conditioning, this is a real problem. Don't you think it is a biger problem to have people overheated and dehydrated than the small chance someone will stick thier finger in it. Boy, it is going to be a long may-june.

Where in the world do you live or what kind of school do you go to that has no air conditioning?:confused

In New Jersey, but as of today this insane (new for this year) rule has been removed (thank God). Most NJ High schools do not have air conditioning since many of them were built in the 70's

None of the grade or high schools where I live in Illinois have air conditioning.
