Do you think Enron is Bush's Whitewater?

Could you post a link detailing Whitewater, please? I remember it but I'm vague on the specifics.

I hope it will become his Whitewaterloo

In that case, yes I dare say Enron will prove to be Bush's Whitewater! http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Enron was busy buying politicians in both parties. There won't be the dogged pursuit that Ken Starr put into the Whitewater scandal because neither side wants the story to come out.

You bet the Democrats will use Enron when the elections will be approaching

Yeah. The Dems were in it only up to their middles, the GOP was doing some scuba. If you take my meaning! http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I'd doubt that the Dems will use Enron, basically for the reasons Cleoeo gives. None of us has any idea how deep into both parties this goes

That might exactly be the reason. Because noone knows how deep into it they are, the Dems are free to condemn the Reps for it...

There would be one obvious problem with that though. Using Enron will make it newsworthy, and encourage more media interest in the story. My guess is that they will play it safe, and attack Bush some other way.

Problem is, that in the current state of affairs, after September 11th and thnx to the War On Terrorism, there is no other way of dealing with him, because his popularity rates unfortunately are skyhigh. I just hope he will get the Churchill-treatment: win the war, lose the elections.

I'd have to agree with you there - the Churchill treatment would be the most likely thing. My guess is that he will be kicked out for exactely the same reason - paid more attention to the War, and didn't do anything to help people at home with their problems.
