COURT-BOUND WOMAN CAUGHT WITH STOLEN CLOTHS AND CRACK PIPE
Apr 24, 2002 – Chillicothe, Ohio - An unusual arrest of a Chillicothe woman Monday, where 37 year old Tonya Perry was charged with petty theft and drug abuse as she was headed to court to answer charges of petty theft and drug abuse. As she tried to pass through a metal detector, it was discovered that she was in possession of stolen clothing and a crack pipe. She also gave Chillicothe police a false address.
Why would you go to court with stolen clothes and a crack pipe when the reason you're there in the first place is for stuff like that?

Well I know of this one case in another county where the guy was always driving drunk and getting DUI's and the judge finally said enough. The judge ordered him to move within walking distance of the bar, he can never get his liscense back, when he's at home by his self his wife has to take the car with her, and he has to sit in the back passanger side of a car, and because he owns a truck he has to have his left hand handcuffed to the passager side door whenever he's in it. I didn't know what to do when I read about it. We also have a public intox law and the cops aren't allowed to arrested him if he's walking home from the bar.

Hi Army Babe!
I can understand why he would be able to walk home and not get arrested but instead of handcuffing and all that other BS wouldnt they just arrest him if he constantly drove drunk? By just making him move away from the bar doesnt do anything! He is going to kill someone maybe even himself:eek:

Hey wildangel! The guy has to move within walking distance of the bar. And the judge finally got tired of putting him in jail and suspending his liscense. The judge wasn't getting anywhere with it. So I guess he figured that if he did all this stuff to him that the guy's chances of hurting someone would go down and he'd see him less in court cause it wasn't helping. I don't know seemed like a good idea to me.

Sounds to me like the guy got what he wanted and the law lost...

I have to agree with you paulgro but on the other hand the guy wasn't learning his lesson and the judge was tired of looking at his face in court. But don't you think that the guy is gonna get tired of walking or having to be driven everywhere and even with that he's not allowed in the front seat of a car. I think that the rules would get very annoying and in the end the judge would win.

If he lives in a town or city with any kind of a population he will be driving a car and won't get caught until he runs over someone. Do you think the city police force will be watching to see if this guy is handcuffed to his passanger seat in his pickup?? You'll read about him again... The only thing that will cure him is detox and a long jail sentance....

Well I know that the good thing is is that he lives in a small town. Small enough to keep an eye on him. And I hope that the day never comes that I have to read about him again. I'm not sure about detox but the jail sentances that he receives just wasn't doing any justice.
