Glad you noticed!

TD Talk is the shortest domain name I could find that still kept a tie to the old name. TD -> "The Dumb", as in The Dumb Network.

I wanted to give the forums a more versatile name, because "Dumb Laws" or "The Dumb Network" doesn't really represent what goes on in here anymore.

I moved "Suggestions" down to the bottom and added some welcome messages for users who are inactive, unverified, or not logged in. However, I didn't change any icons (as far as I know!).

I'm curious to see how the forums do on their own -- I've never measured their traffic independently of the other sites, so it should be interesting to see how it goes.

More like cat and dogs fighting and the dumb get dumber sometimes. :lol There has been a lot of traffic I've noticed but then I go to a tech site and have this link in my sig over there so maybe picking up some travelers from that.

Now, we'll know for sure where people are coming from. We should get some interesting numbers soon.

TDD would be more appropriate. "The Dumb Democrats". :wink

Except that Democrats don't run this board--Republicans do. So "The Dumb" is perfectly applicable. :wink

by 'icons' i should have beenmore specific.. i meant the browser icon that i see when i come to the page *s*.. i like it.!!!.. see like on my site, i have yellow roses as 'my' site icon.. :) u have to have ur browsers set to view page icons to 'see' it.. on yahoo, on the address bar, there is a 'y' symbol, etc.. most sites do it now, its kewl and helps identify the sites in ur favorites ..

Ahhh the favorites icon. That comes with the software. I meant to learn how to change it....ohhh....five or six years ago but I never got around to it. I always wanted a cool "The Dumb Network" icon.

Andy do you check out advertizers on your site to make sure their legit?

The browser I use which is Real Player doesn't have that option that I can find. I'll open IE and see if it's on that browser.

All banner advertising is handled through a third party broker that does all the "checking out". Lots of obnoxious stuff still gets through, unfortunately. Also, the dating ads have recently been getting too "hot" for my taste, but trying to get rid of them in all positions on all the siites all the time is like playing whack-a-mole for months.

Not sure what you mean here (Real Player isn't a browser, unless there's something new I don't know about) but let me know!

Yeah Real Player has a browser. Kinda a clone of IE like Firefox is a Netscape clone. I like RB, Not as flaky as IE. It also has a burner/transfer built in it.

RealPlayer 10.5 comes built-in with a web browser based on Internet Explorer. If you'd like to view multiple pages simultaneously, perhaps keeping a list of movies playing at your local theater in one window while checking the Internet Movie Database in another, you don't have to open up a separate Internet Explorer browser window. From RealPlayer, just click "File" - "New" - "New Web Browser".
