"User Notes"???

In a person's profile there is a link to "user notes"... I've left a couple of test messages for various posters [check yours, Tig] just to see what they are and how they work.

So far, I'm not seeing the utility of these "User Notes"... why would you post one of these instead of a PM?

Any ideas? Idnew?

Hmm, looks like it's for making notes that you can see, rather than the user you're posting a note about (like "note to self: this guy w1che's a dummy" :wink ). I can't see any link in my CP to see user notes that others have written about me.

Please don't ask the mods, as we have only just used to all the other wonderful features here. But, from Sin's profile I can read the note Tig left, and in Tig's I can read the two Sin left. I dunno if that's a mod privilege (I've just got here and I'm not about to log out, and I don't have a second account anyway), but anyhow, user notes are not private. It may be that anyone except the user can read them - in which case we can expect a flurry of second accounts popping up.

The user notes are for you to give your opinion about a poster. In other words you can "warn" :lol other posters about a poster . I was wondering how long it would take ya'll to find them. If you haven't discovered it yet you can click on a person's name and it will list a menu. When you go to their profile you can post or view a note about that person.

You can read your own user notes, and see who posted them. Mods can edit them, and maybe the members who posted them can too.

Another thing you can do is add events to the calendar.
