DUMBEST LAW OF THEM ALL!

oh my god! i was reading the dumb laws for Arkansaws, and it says a husband may legally beat his wife, but no more han once a month! that is the most stupidest law possible!

Alot of these old laws are still on the books, that's what makes them interesting. Today in the U.S. if you beat your wife or anyone else for that matter, you're going to jail.

I think the law is great! A man can only beat his wife once a month, yet there are no limits on how many times a month she can whoop his tooshy for what he'd done. Believe me, he'd get it. He'd sooo get it. If my husband dare lay a hand on me, he had best decide if he would prefer to have a hospital bed by the window or not. And if he did it again, he best be picking out his epitaph.

Believe it or not, Los Angeles has a law on the books that states you cannot use a strap wider than your thumb to beat your wife without first getting her permission! http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/confused.gif And South Carolina law goes even further to state that once a week, (Sundays) you can beat your wife on the courthouse steps! http://www.dumblaws.com/ubb/eek.gif

This site shows some of the dumbest laws that were ever put on the books. I some cases still on the books so we take them seriously but also make a laugh out of them sometimes. Anyway, if it was a joke, fair enough, but like I said the world needs less of that type of thing as in the wrong circumstances and around the wrong male it CAN lead to a kicking and thats the very problem you were whining about in the first place :)
