College student arrested for 'being stupid' in Aspen

ASPEN, Colo. - Under arrest for "being stupid." That's how Oregon college student Christopher "Joe" Andrews describes his bust in Aspen.


Police said Andrews was naked in the middle of a busy street and waving to passing cars. One of those cars happened to be an Aspen police Saab. Officers drive the upscale vehicle in the glitzy resort town.

One officer said Andrews told them he had never seen a Saab police car before.

Several other naked guys were seen scampering away, but only Andrews was caught.

Andrews was cited for disorderly conduct and fined $250.

But one officer says Andrews biggest punishment probably was some unmerciful teasing by the police.
